The First Sermon

The first sermon in the early church provoked 3,000 Jews to turn to Jesus. Today churches are not seeing mass conversions but have become accustomed to declining aspirations and attendance. What exactly did Peter say? Was he a great salesman? What we find out is that the Holy Spirit was active. God moved people to repentace void of any great strategy. God did something because he was glorified through the message of Jesus' life, death, resurrection, and ascension. The only thing that changes people is the message of Jesus Christ.
